Former Cedars-Sinai OB-GYN surrenders license after sexual abuse complaints

Barry J. Brock, a retired OB-GYN formerly affiliated with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, has permanently surrendered his California medical license following a complaint of negligent care. While not admitting wrongdoing, Brock chose to forgo a hearing. The complaint stemmed from a 2018 case involving inadequate care during a miscarriage procedure. Meanwhile, over 175 women have filed civil lawsuits alleging sexual abuse and misconduct by Brock during his medical career, forming the basis of the Barry Brock lawsuit. Cedars-Sinai terminated his privileges in 2024 and condemned the alleged behavior. Brock denies all allegations but continues to face legal action.
